Job summary

Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network in Itasca, IL is seeking a transportation specialist to provide safe, timely ground transport for organ and tissue recovery teams. The role requires 25+ years old, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work a 4 PM–midnight shift.

You will transport staff between hospitals and facilities, deliver clinical supplies, and maintain vehicle logs. The job emphasizes reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to respond to pages within 10 minutes

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 25 years old.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively with others.
• Ability to learn and perform transportation, property, and security related duties.
• Ability to learn and utilize computer applications necessary for job performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and timely emergency and non-emergency ground transportation for organ and tissue recovery departments.
• Transport internal and external staff to and from hospitals, airports and/or other facilities.
• Transport human organs, blood, and tissue samples.
• Deliver clinical supplies and equipment.
• Work assigned schedule to provide 24-hour department coverage.
• Maintain thorough logs to track routes and deliveries.
