Responsibilities

• Direct one-to-one patient observation to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Engages in therapeutic communication and assists nurses and designated health care professionals in keeping detailed records, maintaining clear communication between the entire care team and working with patients and families.
• May serve as a resource (lead), role model and/or mentor.
