Job summary

THOM Thomas Hospitals in Charleston, WV, seeks a Manager of Nursing for the Operating Room Evening Shift. This role leads, coordinates, and evaluates financial, material, and human resources to deliver high-quality nursing care in accordance with hospital missions.

The incumbent will advise on staffing, drive educational programs, monitor budgets, and ensure policy adherence. Four years of nursing experience with two years in management are required, along with an RN license and BLS

Qualifications

RN license to practice in the state or multi-state license via eNLC.
BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
BSN degree preferred; specialty certification desirable.

Responsibilities

Advises the Director on hiring, retention, interviewing and recruitment of staff.
Maintains personnel records and supports ongoing education programs for staff.
Develops and implements staff orientation, in-service training, and equipment or systems training.
Provides feedback and performance evaluations; counsels staff as needed.
Monitors budgets and variances; assists in annual cost center budget preparation.
Ensures economical utilization of time, materials, and staffing to achieve optimal productivity.
Facilitates communication with physicians, nurses and other staff to resolve issues.
