Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking an Operating Room Attendant for the evening shift. Responsibilities include transporting patients from inpatient/ER/ICU to pre-op holding, cleaning OR suites between procedures, and stocking anesthesia supplies.

The role supports anesthesia staff in OR and ancillary areas, helps position patients, and ensures proper equipment ready for procedures. Requires HSD/GED and BLS certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

• HSD/GED or higher is required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire is required.
• Experience in environmental services or operating room preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to pre-op holding area and between departments.
• Clean operating room suites between surgical procedures.
• Stock anesthesia supplies and transport equipment and specimens as needed.
