Job summary

PDS Optical is seeking a Digital Surface Technician to operate equipment that blocks, generates, polishes, coats, and lasers lenses to the designated curve on the concave side. This is a full-time evening shift (4:30pm-1:00am) with a pay rate of $17.00 per hour.

Prior optical lab experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided. Responsibilities include learning all machines in the area, addressing equipment errors, and maintaining a steady workflow in a production

Qualifications

• Experience in optical lab or mass manufacturing preferred but not required.
• On-the-job training provided.
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate blocking, generating, polishing, backside coating, and laser equipment as assigned.
• Address equipment errors and alarms on the automated surface line.
• Maintain workflow and cleanliness in the department.
