Job summary

White Sands, a HumanGood life plan community in La Jolla, CA, seeks an on-call Home Health Aide to join our team. You will provide in-home personal care and support to residents, working on-call with a 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm shift.

Responsibilities include assisting with dressing, grooming, meals, mobility, and transportation to appointments; performing light housekeeping; and documenting resident status for supervisors. CPR/First Aid are required; a CNA or similar training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CNA or vocational nursing training for elderly/dementia preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required (may be obtained after hire).

Responsibilities

• Engage in the philosophy of Person-Directed Care.
• Assist residents with personal care and protection in their private residence.
• Aid with dressing, grooming, ambulating, transferring, feeding, bathing, oral hygiene.
• Prepare meals and assist in dining activities as needed.
• Escort residents to medical and social appointments.
• Perform home management tasks: housekeeping, shopping, laundry, mail sorting.
• Report unusual symptoms and resident concerns to supervisor.
• Attend and participate in trainings and meetings as appropriate.
