Job summary

Wayne Farms seeks a hands-on operator to oversee offal screening and wastewater systems, ensuring adherence to PPE, policies, and regulatory guidelines. The role focuses on maintaining equipment, monitoring chemical feeds, and coordinating trailer movements.

The position requires high school diploma or equivalent, plus mechanical aptitude and willingness to work unsupervised, nights, weekends, and extended shifts. NOCTI Level 1 testing may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Relative poultry industry experience preferred.
• Basic math functions and skills.
• Pass NOCTI Mechanical/Electrical test, Level 1 required.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and operates offal equipment and machinery such as tumble screens, augers, pumps, motors, dewatering equipment, compressors, chemical feed equipment.
• Observes the fill level on trailers and tankers.
• Drives jockey truck to move full and empty trailers and tankers.
• Monitors mechanical wastewater equipment such as meters, pumps, motors, electrical, pivots.
