Job summary

MorningStar Senior Living in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Certified Med Tech/Caregiver for a dual role at our senior living community. This full-time, non-exempt position requires a current NV med tech certification and availability for the 2:00pm–10:00pm shift four days a week.

The role combines medication administration with hands-on caregiving to support residents’ wellbeing. Responsibilities include administering meds, documenting MARs, monitoring vital signs, and coordinating with the

Qualifications

• Licensed/Certification: Medication Administration training; First Aid; QMAP (state).
• Education/Experience: High school diploma; preferred 3+ years in senior living; experience administering medications in assisted living.
• Continuing Education: as required by law; monthly in-service training.
• Other: Must read/write English; good communication; ability to follow directions.
• Job Knowledge: Medication administration; universal precautions.
• Industry Experience: 3+ years in senior living preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer and document regularly prescribed meds per MAR and physician orders.
• Order meds 7 days before running out; notify Wellness Director if late.
• Document medications after administration; initial bubble pack.
• Observe and report medication reactions/side effects.
• Take vital signs prior to meds that affect vitals; report changes.
• Report medication errors to Wellness Director immediately.
• Assist in care plan development with other disciplines.
• Ensure resident privacy, safety, and dignity.
• Assist with daily care tasks (toileting, grooming, feeding, etc.).
