Job summary

The evening 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM Nursing Supervisor oversees nursing operations, providing clinical leadership and ensuring quality resident care. Responsible for compliance with federal/state regulations, staff support, emergency response, and serving as the primary nursing leader during evening hours.

Key duties include supervising licensed nurses and CNAs, coordinating care with physicians and other disciplines, and maintaining medication security and proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Current New Jersey RN or LPN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing.
• Previous supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to make sound clinical decisions independently.
• Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and oversee evening shift operations.
• Supervise licensed nurses and CNAs; ensure quality resident care.
• Maintain regulatory compliance with CMS and NJ health regulations.
• Coordinate resident care with interdisciplinary team members.
• Lead QA/QI initiatives and conduct routine nursing rounds.
• Handle admissions, transfers, discharges, and emergencies.
• Maintain staffing and audit documentation; communicate updates.
