Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian is seeking a Nursing Attendant for a full-time Evening shift (3 PM - 11 PM) at Queens Hospital. You will assist with bedside care, monitor vital signs, aid in meals and patient transport, and support registered nurses in a fast-paced medical-surgical setting.

The role requires a Nurse Aide certification or equivalent experience, with orientation for two weeks, and is based in New York, NY.

Qualifications

• Previous Nurse’s aide experience or equivalent in a hospital setting; or certification from an approved Nurse Aide training program, or currently enrolled in a BSN program for nursing at the junior year level or had completed at least one clinical practicum.
• Must complete mandatory 2 week orientation Monday - Friday from 8AM - 4PM upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitor blood pressure and temperature of patients, while ensuring the delivery of meals and safe transport.
• Infuse energy and hospitality into a patient's day.
• Provide comfort and caring as a certified nurse’s aide at NYP, keeping our fast-paced environments running smoothly.
• Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment.
• Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure.
