Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian is seeking a Nursing Attendant for Labor and Delivery for evening shifts. The role provides bedside support, assists nurses, measures vitals, assists with meals and safe patient transport, and helps maintain a clean, safe environment.

This part-time position requires on-site presence, completion of a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, and Nursing Aide experience or CNA certification or BSN in progress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current American Heart Association CPR certification required.
• Must meet one of: Nurse’s Aide experience in a hospital setting; CNA certification; or BSN student in junior year with at least one clinical practicum.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure.
• Assist with meals delivery and patient transport to support care at bedside.
• Provide compassionate patient focus and assist under supervision of a registered nurse.
