Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Nurse Aide at Hollidaysburg Veterans Home to provide hands-on care that improves daily comfort for veterans in a structured setting.

You will perform duties such as resident observation, daily documentation, personal support, health monitoring, care assistance, and mobility support, on a full-time 2nd shift (2:45 PM–11:15 PM) with rotating days and every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry and eligibility to work in Pennsylvania.
• Six months of paid experience in caring for geriatric or physically ill residents.

Responsibilities

• Resident Observation: monitor changes and report to nursing staff.
• Daily Documentation: record care using approved forms and electronic systems.
• Personal Support: assist residents with introductions, belongings and adjustment.
• Health Monitoring: gather vital signs and ensure accurate reporting.
• Care Assistance: bathe, groom, toileting, repositioning and daily activities.
• Mobility Support: aid walking and safe movement between beds and chairs.

Education

Active Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry registration

Six months paid geriatric or ill-patient care experience
