Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Military and Veterans Affairs seeks a Nurse Aide to provide daily care and support to residents at the southeastern Veterans' Center. You will assist with activities of daily living, observe conditions, and maintain a safe, homelike environment.

Shifts include 2nd (3:00 PM–11:30 PM) and 3rd (11:15 PM–7:45 AM); full-time, 40 hours per week with rotating days and weekends. Telework is not available, and salary terms may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

• This position requires active PA Nurse Aide Registry registration.
• Six months of paid geriatric or ill-patient care experience.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions and pass a medical exam.

Responsibilities

• Care support: assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Monitor resident condition and report changes to nursing staff.
• Distribute meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Apply safety practices and report hazards immediately.
• Prepare rooms for admissions or transfers and maintain a neat environment.
• Record care activities and restock supplies.
