Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist in Florida with compounding experience.
• LP3 Network Non-Sterile Compounding Training (or equivalent).
• Compounding experience required.
• Strong written and verbal English; Spanish bilingual preferred.
• Experience with USP 795 guidelines and regulatory compliance.
• Proficient in maintaining accurate records and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pharmacy technicians involved in non-sterile compounding and ensure adherence to procedures and quality standards.
• Ensure all compounding activities meet USP 795 guidelines and relevant regulations.
• Develop, review, and update SOPs for non-sterile compounding processes.
• Ensure equipment is available, maintained, and calibrated.
• Implement and oversee quality control procedures for accuracy and safety of compounded medications.
• Conduct final checks to verify accuracy before dispensing.
• Maintain records of all compounding activities, ingredients, lot numbers, and beyond-use dates.
• Ensure staff education and proficiency in non-sterile compounding.
• Keep up-to-date on best practices and regulatory changes via continuing education.
• May participate in compounding hazardous drugs with appropriate precautions.
• Maintain a clean and contamination-free compounding area.
