Job summary

The Pharmacy Hub in Miami Gardens is seeking a knowledgeable Non-Sterile & Hazardous Compounding Technician to join our team. You will accurately compound a range of dosage forms, including non-hazardous and hazardous medications, following USP 795/800 standards and safety protocols.

You will document all processes, maintain clean workspaces, and collaborate with pharmacists and QA to ensure batch accuracy. This is a full-time, on-site role with a night shift, offering comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to compound a wide range of dosage forms accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision.
• Knowledge of PPE usage and containment practices for hazardous drugs.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient in pharmaceutical calculations and measurement accuracy.
• Ability to follow SOPs and complex instructions.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with RDTs, nasal sprays, and semi-solid formulations.

Responsibilities

• Accurately compound non-sterile and hazardous medications per master formulation records.
• Prepare dosage forms: troches, creams, ointments, gels, nasal sprays, oral solutions, suspensions, RDTs.
• Perform cleaning, decontamination, garbing in non-sterile HD areas.
• Document all compounding processes and batch records.
• Operate compounding equipment: balances, homogenizers, mixers.
• Assist in inventory control and proper storage of materials.
• Participate in audits and stay current with USP & OSHA regulations.
• Train and mentor junior technicians.
