Job summary

Moody Neurorehabilitation Institute is seeking a House Supervisor to provide on-site administrative and clinical leadership across evening, night, and weekend shifts at Houston/Galveston locations. The role supports nursing and residential teams, ensures adherence to care plans, and maintains high standards of patient safety and regulatory compliance.

The position requires an active Texas RN license, an Associate degree in nursing, and flexibility for non-day shifts.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of neurological disorders, post-acute rehab, and interdisciplinary care models.
• Proven leadership, team building, and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Requires flexibility for occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call responsibilities.
• Frequent interaction with patients, family members, and clinical staff in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site administrative and clinical leadership during specific shifts.
• Serve as primary point of contact for staff in absence of DON or Residential Manager.
• Assist with patient assignments during shift updates for nursing and residential teams.
• Update patient census during evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Check patients in/out, secure medications and paperwork, ensure patient safety.
• Rounding on patients to audit adherence to care plans.
• Assist with orientation and training of staff to ensure best practices and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure equipment maintenance, infection control, and repairs reporting.
• Assist in evaluating nursing performance through audits and training.
• Maintain accuracy in EHR documentation and HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with order management and interdepartmental communications.
