Job summary

UW Health in Madison, WI seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) in Psychiatry to join a locked 18-bed med/psych unit caring for acutely ill adults.

You will rotate 8/12-hour evenings/night shifts (3:00 pm–7:30 am) with every other weekend and holiday rotation, eligible for shift differentials, and benefit from a strong nursing governance and tuition support. Wisconsin RN licensure and CPR/BLS are required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Six months nursing experience or participation in UW Health Nurse Residency Program.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in WI or probation under nurse licensure compact.
• Current CPR/BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Work on a locked 18-bed med/psych unit caring for acutely ill adults with diverse comorbidities.
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team for nurse-driven, patient-centered care.
• Educate and support patients and families throughout treatment.
