The Commonwealth of Massachusetts seeks Licensed Practical Nurse II staff for Holyoke Veterans Home, a state-funded facility serving veterans. You will provide patient-centered care, assess health status, and follow established nursing plans in collaboration with the care team.

Shifts include evening and night coverage with a strong emphasis on teamwork, documentation, and compliance with Joint Commission and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current practical nurse license with the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association is required.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and to interact tactfully with others.

Responsabilités

• Provide nursing care to veterans on assigned unit, responding to calls and monitoring rounds.
• Administer treatments, medications, and care plans per physician orders.
• Collaborate with RNs and medical staff to assess and adjust care as needed.
• Identify urgent situations and initiate appropriate emergency interventions with the team.
• Maintain documentation and communicate with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Support regulatory compliance and participate in ongoing professional development.
