The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join the Holyoke Veterans Home on an open continuous basis for Evening and Night shifts. LPNs will supervise within assigned units, provide patient-driven care, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement care plans for veterans.

Qualificações

• Must possess current, active license as a practical nurse under the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to deal tactfully with others.

Responsabilidades

• Provide exceptional nursing care to veteran residents by assessing health status and responding to requests.
• Administer nursing treatments, observe needs for care and medication administration.
• Identify health status and confer with RNs and medical staff for treatment modalities.
• Recognize urgent or emergency situations and initiate interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with other resident services personnel to follow individual care plans.
• Establish constructive relationships with veterans and families to support care plans.
• Document incidents and refer to RN for follow-up or investigation.
