Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One year of lab experience is required.
• Associate’s Degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and accession laboratory specimens into the LIS.
• Retrieve, sort, track and deliver specimens.
• Perform specimen investigation procedures to resolve lab specimen issues or problems.
• Verify accurate documentation relative to specimen processing.
• Maintain patient, specimen and track data using the laboratory computer system and devices.
• Prepare specimens for analysis and accept or reject specimens.
• Perform manual processing (centrifuge, aliquoting and routine maintenance).
