Job summary

Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to work in the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service during Evening/Nights. The CLS will develop, perform, evaluate, interpret, correlate, and validate laboratory procedures in line with regulatory requirements, testing various specimens by manual or automated methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• Certification options: MLS/MT generalist or categorical/specialist per ASCP AMT.
• Non-certified paths allow temporary appointment and progression toward certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop, perform, evaluate, interpret, correlate, and validate laboratory procedures/results.
• Handle testing on a variety of specimens using manual or automated methods.
• Ensure compliance with current laboratory regulatory requirements.
