Job summary

SunCloud Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist for evening and night shifts in Northbrook, IL. The role focuses on providing compassionate, evidence-based care within a structured milieu and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to meet patient treatment goals.

You will establish therapeutic relationships, monitor progress, document outcomes, and support patients through crisis prevention and engagement activities while upholding the highest standards of safety and service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree or equivalent in Human Services; Master’s degree preferred.
• Licensed or license eligible (as applicable) in behavioral health fields.
• Experience with mental health, eating disorders and/or substance use treatment is beneficial.
• Knowledge of group dynamics, behavior change, and treatment planning.

Responsibilities

• Builds therapeutic relationships to support treatment plans.
• Provides individual support and group monitoring in a structured milieu.
• Participates in required supervision with supervisor.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to plan and coordinate treatment.
• Documents changes in patient status and updates treatment plans as needed.
• Monitors progress and records outcomes of treatment goals.
• Assists in de-escalation and safety interventions as required.
• Maintains thorough daily clinical notes and supports patient engagement.
• Contributes to high standards of customer service within the program.
