Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism or related field is required.
• Proven editorial judgment and strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and producers simultaneously.
• Digital-first mindset and ability to connect with audiences across platforms.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the 4, 5, 6, 9, and 10 PM newscasts with punchy, relevant presentation.
• Coach producers to grow shows and sharpen presentation.
• Own story placement and breaking news coverage decisions.
• Coordinate reporters and direct action as news develops.
• Partner with the News Director on major initiatives and community coverage.
• Drive engagement across air and digital platforms.
• Lead station community efforts and outreach programs.
