Wake Forest University is seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician to perform general and preventive maintenance. Shifts are 3PM–11PM, with duties across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, doors, and pool maintenance.

You will work on interior and exterior facilities, climbing ladders or crawl spaces as needed. A high school diploma or GED with relevant training and 1–4 years of experience is preferred; strong safety and customer relation skills are essential.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED plus specialized training with one to four years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work from ladders, scaffolds, hydraulic lifts, or in tunnels and crawl spaces.
• General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting repairs and installation as needed.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to read, understand, and abide by all safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to maintain effective customer relations.
• Ability to work any assigned shift/work schedule.

Responsabilidades

• Repairs electrical systems, outlets and cords; resets breakers; installs motors and belts as needed; responds to requests.
• Stops overflowing and clogged toilets; unstops showers and sinks; repairs valves, gaskets and lines.
• Monitors HVAC chemical equipment; changes filters and fan belts; opens HVAC drains.
• Performs carpentry repairs on doors, windows, walls, shelving, and related items.
• Patches, caulks, primers, stains, and paints ceilings, walls, doors and windows.
• Installs and repairs door hardware and locks; makes keys.
• Mends vehicle gas and electric systems; installs tile and floor coverings.
• Cleans pools, adds chemicals; replaces pool floor covering.
