Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in a related science (Certification not required for all applicants).
• Associate degree with certification (NCA, AMT, ASCP, HEW, or CLA) within 12 months of employment.
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures is required.
• Familiarity with laboratory testing equipment and routine maintenance is needed.
• Ability to maintain quality records and work with computers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with laboratory testing on patient specimens under direction.
• Maintain performance records and generate acceptable test results.
• Follow standard operating procedures and assist with procedure development.
• Troubleshoot analyzers and ensure calibration and quality control are up-to-date.
