Job summary

IU Health in Indianapolis is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for evening, full-time shifts in the M-Pathology Lab. The role supports testing on patient specimens and helps ensure accurate results under supervision, with an emphasis on hematology and chemistry analyses.

Responsibilities include processing specimens, performing differential counts, operating Sysmex hematology and Cobas chemistry analyzers, maintaining QC records, and assisting with procedure development.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree or associate degree in a related science/MLT program.
• Certification as MLT or similar is preferred or via upgrade within a set period.
• Must have knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment maintenance, and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Process specimens and perform testing under supervision.
• Carry out hematology differential counts and chemistry analyses.
• Operate Sysmex and Cobas analyzers; maintain QC records.
• Assist with procedure development and troubleshooting; phlebotomy is a plus.
