Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Tucker, GA seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist II for a Monday to Friday schedule, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM with rotational weekends. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible external candidates. Relocation assistance may be considered.

Pay range starts at $34.00 per hour with possible shift differentials of 10% for some second-shift hours and 15% for some third-shift hours. Annual performance bonuses may be offered.

Qualifications

• One (1) year full-time experience or training (high complexity testing) in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Minimum of 3 years clinical experience, preferably in the current department.
• BS/BA in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology, or an Associated degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform test procedures of moderate/high complexity with independence.
• Provide support for quality control, troubleshooting, instrument maintenance, staff training and process improvements.
• Perform and report analytical tests per SOPs ensuring quality control requirements are met.
• Adhere to laboratory policies for specimen handling, testing, and record keeping.
• Enter results into the Laboratory Information System for clinician review.
• Maintain safe, clean lab spaces and equipment; complete training and competency checks.
