Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Lab Assistant II in Tucker, GA (Wednesday to Sunday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM). The role performs routine lab tasks, specimen handling, LIS data entry, and QA/QC duties to support laboratory operations.

Pay starts at $17.75 per hour with potential shift differentials and performance bonuses. The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least one year of full-time lab experience; familiarity with MS Office and LIS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to handle client information confidentially and maintain data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen receiving, labeling, handling and preparation.
• Assist with pre-analytical preparation of specimens and data entry.
• Record digital temperature and notify licensed personnel if out of range.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance and assist with chemicals/preparations.
• Maintain and organize lab area and equipment; manage documentation and LIS entries.
• Carry out QA/QC duties and complete training/competency checklists.
