Job summary

Triple-S Steel in Houston, TX is seeking a Millwright to ensure machinery operates at peak efficiency through preventive maintenance and strong leadership of a maintenance team.

The role requires coordinating schedules, managing budgets, and reporting costs, with extended hours during peak periods. You will oversee safety, reliability, and compliance across the maintenance function while supporting ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ combined experience as a Maintenance Technician.
• Electrical and hydraulics experience is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Experience with maintenance software (e.g., Emaint) preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Abide by all safety rules and regulations for the facility.
• Contribute to maintenance strategy to improve performance.
• Minimize accident severity or frequency for contractors and staff.
• Prepare and manage a weekly maintenance schedule in Emaint.
• Address concerns with the facility manager promptly.
• Maintain schedule compliance and priority.
• Complete maintenance jobs with high efficiency.
• Streamline repair costs and job execution.
• Ensure prompt repairs by handling emergencies.
• Maintain data on repaired jobs and tool/material usage.
• Review equipment history files and work orders.
• Report maintenance performance during major overhauls.
• Prioritize work orders per emergencies and facility priorities.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Maintain housekeeping and quality standards in mechanical maintenance.
• Aim for 98% reliability on all maintenance jobs.
• Investigate and implement corrective actions for near misses and safety incidents.
