Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a welder for a Worthington location, Columbus, OH. The role involves MIG, flux core, and submerged arc welding, reading blueprints, and operating forklifts and cranes. Expect a 3:15pm–1:45am shift with overtime on Fridays.

Qualifications

• MIG, Flux core, and Submerged arc welding experience required.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications.
• Forklift/overhead crane operation preferred.
• Use of cutting torches, grinders, sanders, and cutting wheels as part of welding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Layout, fit and weld materials using tools and documents related to specifications.
• Maintain accurate records such as production orders and data collection.
• Perform preventative maintenance sheets and maintain welding equipment.
• Maintain stock control and pull items for orders across departments.
• Perform daily activities safely and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in 5S and Lean initiatives in the facility.
• Safely operate fork trucks and overhead cranes.
• Maintain quality throughout the weld process.
