Job summary

Express Columbus Metro West in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking skilled welders for a full-time role on the 3:15pm-1:45am shift, Monday through Thursday, with overtime Friday. Worthington area; $23-$25 per hour.

You will layout, weld materials, read blueprints, maintain records, operate forklifts and cranes, and contribute to safety and 5S initiatives. Competitive pay and steady hours offered.

Qualifications

• MIG, flux core, & submerged arc welding experience.
• Cutting torches, grinders, sanders & cutting wheels proficiency.
• Reading blueprints and weld drawings.
• Forklifts and overhead cranes operation preferred.
• Experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

Responsibilities

• Layout, fit and weld materials using production orders and blueprints.
• Maintain accurate records such as production orders and data collection.
• Perform preventative maintenance sheets and maintain welding equipment.
• Maintain stock control, pull items for orders and assist other departments.
• Complete duties to fulfill customer orders and ensure quality welds.
• Perform daily activities safely and identify improvement opportunities.
• Participate in 5S and Learn initiatives within the facility.
• Operate fork trucks and cranes safely.

• Maintain accurate records such as production orders, data collection, and Total

• Maintain stock control, pull items for orders, work in other departments, and complete other related duties as required to fulfill customer orders.
• Perform daily activities safely and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Actively participate in facility 5S and Learn initiatives.
• Safely operate fork trucks and cranes.
• Maintain quality throughout the weld process.
