Virtua Health in Voorhees, NJ, is seeking a Part-time Microbiology Medical Technologist/Technician (MT/MLT) for an evening shift. The role analyzes, interprets, and validates laboratory procedures on blood, body fluids, and tissues, serving Virtua customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum externship in a CLIA laboratory.
• Bachelor's degree in laboratory science, biological or chemical science or other relevant field.
• Associates-HEW-MT.
• Valid certification as a Medical Technologist or equivalent, or meets CLIA '88 educational requirements for high complexity testing.
• ASCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate and high complexity testing accurately and precisely according to established procedure without direct supervision.
• Post analytically, validates results using established indicators and investigates deviations.
• Performs and documents quality control and pre-analytical processes including patient ID, phlebotomy, and specimen handling.
• Operates, maintains and troubleshoots laboratory equipment as required.
• Provides outstanding customer service with effective communication.
