RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Mental Health Worker for the Psychiatry Residential Services at Jersey City Medical Center. This role supports adults with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness in a 15-bed community-based residential program, focusing on independence, wellness, and community integration.

The position involves crisis recognition, medication supervision, skills-building, and collaborative care with a multidisciplinary team.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a mental health-related field is required.
• A valid, unrestricted New Jersey Driver's License is required.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certification is preferred; certification will be provided if current.
• Bilingual skills are appreciated.

Responsabilidades

• Support adults with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness toward independence and recovery.
• Provide case management support and help consumers access services and community supports.
• Supervise medication routines in accordance with program procedures and treatment plans.
• Assist with daily living skills and community integration to promote recovery.
• Observe consumers for changes and report concerns to the care team.
• Maintain a clean, safe, structured, and therapeutic residential environment.
• Collaborate with other Mental Health Workers and the behavioral health team.
• Follow departmental policies, safety practices, and established methods of practice.

Educación

Bachelor's Degree in a mental health-related field
