Job summary

Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center is hiring a Mental Health Technician for the 3rd shift, including weekends. The role focuses on direct patient care in a residential setting, supervising patients and maintaining safety with least restrictive interventions.

Qualifications

• HSD/GED REQUIRED.
• Bachelor degree in psychology, sociology, social work, human services or similar (preferred).
• Experience: six months in residential psychiatry or similar setting (preferred).
• Background: Level 2 background screening required (AHCA).
• Pre-employment drug screening.
• CPR certification required; Handle with Care training within 7 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a residential behavioral health setting.
• Supervise patients in treatment, recreation, and daily activities; monitor social and clinical status.
• Ensure patient safety and apply least restrictive interventions; avoid seclusion/restraint when possible.
