Job summary

Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center, part of Universal Health Services, is hiring a Mental Health Technician for 2nd shift. You will perform direct patient care in a residential setting, supervise patients in treatment and daily activities, and help maintain safety with least-restrictive interventions.

CPR certification is required. Preferred candidates have a Bachelor’s in a related field and prior residential psychiatry or childcare experience.

Qualifications

• HSD/GED REQUIRED.
• Bachelor degree in psychology, sociology, social work, human services or like field (increase in wages)
• Experience: six months in residential psychiatry or similar setting preferred.
• Background check: Level 2 background screening per Florida AHCA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a residential behavioral health setting.
• Supervise patient in treatment, recreation, education, and daily activities.
• Monitor safety and use least-restrictive interventions when needed.
• Maintain documentation and communication with care team.
