Job summary

Wellspring in Louisville, KY is hiring a part-time Peer Support Specialist to support adults with behavioral health needs. Evening shifts and occasional weekends offer flexible scheduling while maintaining mission-driven service.

The role requires peer support experience, a lived health-care perspective, and a Kentucky Adult Peer Support Specialist Certification. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are expected for home visits and transportation.

Qualifications

• Experience providing peer support to clients with mental illness and co-occurring disorders.
• Must have lived experience with mental illness and willingness to share it.
• Belief in recovery and empathy for people with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer counseling and life skills coaching.
• Assist with illness management and attendance at 12-step meetings.
• Develop social networks and assist with community navigation/engagement.
