Job summary

Sheppard Pratt on the main campus in Elkridge, MD is seeking a Float Mental Health Worker to join a multi-disciplinary team and support two service lines, including Child & Adolescent, Young Adult, and General Adult programs. The role involves providing direct patient care under the supervision of a Staff Nurse, contributing to planning and evaluation of patient needs, and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment in accordance with policies.

Evening shifts are included.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required or equivalent.
• Human Services related degree or prior direct care experience preferred.
• Must be available to work every other weekend (Sat/Sun).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision per treatment plan.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment per policies.
• Support planning and evaluation of patient needs based on behaviors.
