Job summary

PACS is seeking a licensed Medication Aide to assist in administering medications to residents under physician and nursing supervision. You will follow established nursing standards and facility policies to ensure safe, accurate medication delivery.

The role requires completion of a state-approved training program and ongoing education to maintain certification; you will coordinate with nursing leadership and pharmacists to support resident care.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a high school education or equivalent.
  • Must be a licensed Medication Aide with state-approved training and exam(s).
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials.
  • Ability to write reports and procedure manuals; communicate clearly.
  • Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios to practical situations.

Responsibilities

  • Follow facility policies governing the administration of medications to residents.
  • Note and report errors in the administration of medications.
  • Accurately and safely prepare, administer, and document medications as ordered.
  • Verify resident identity before administering medication treatment.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information and PHI.
