Qualifications

• Must possess a high school education or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret general procedures and reports.
• Must be a licensed Medication Aide with state-approved training.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform routine tasks.
• Ability to maintain resident confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Follow facility policies to administer medications as prescribed.

• Assist in developing procedures to reduce medication errors.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications for residents.
• Maintain professional relationships with nursing staff, physicians, and pharmacists.
• Document and report vitals and responses to medications.
