Job summary

Distinctive Living is seeking a Medication Aide (Per Diem) for our Mira Vie at Montville community in Montville, NJ. The 3p-11p shift is available.

The Medication Aide will provide medication management and ADL support as outlined in each resident's plan, communicate with the care team and families, and perform duties under the Director, Health and Wellness while complying with regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of one year caregiving experience.
• State HHA certification or CNA license required.
• Six months of supervisory experience in a health-related field.
• Ability to read physician orders and match to MAR.
• Knowledge of medical terminology to pass medications and communicate with professionals.

Responsibilities

• Follow resident service plans and pass medications according to physician orders.
• Document completion of daily tasks.
• Document observed changes in condition per regulations and policies.
• Communicate resident needs with other Medication Aides for consistent quality.
• Assist in meal service including serving, clearing, and cleaning the dining room.
• Supervise staff during shifts.
• Maintain required certifications through in-service trainings and coursework.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and Blood Borne Pathogen Guidelines.
