Distinctive Living is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide (Full-Time 3-11) for our Mira Vie at Brookfield community in Belvidere, NJ. The role involves medication management and personal care under the Director, Health and Wellness, with a focus on regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of caregiving experience.
• State-required HHA certification or CNA license.
• Six months or more of supervisory experience in a health-related field.
• Ability to read physician orders and match to MARs.
• Understanding of medical terminology adequate to pass medications.

Responsibilities

• Follows resident service plans and passes medications per physician orders.
• Documents completion of tasks daily.
• Documents changes in resident condition per rules and policies.
• Communicates with other medication aides about resident needs for quality.
• Assists with meal service including serving, clearing, and cleaning dining areas.
• Supervises staff during working hours.
• Maintains required certifications and completes in-service trainings.
• Follows local, state, and federal rules; HIPAA, OSHA compliance.
• Supports safe work practices and assists with investigations as needed.
