Job summary

• Must possess a current CNA certification and a Certified Medication Aide in Skilled Nursing certification.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 months experience in basic nursing procedures for nursing assistants preferred.
• Completed state-approved training including competency evaluation and facility orientation.
• Certified Nursing Assistant certification active with no abuse or neglect allegations and up-to-date in-services.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely medication administration for residents under RN supervision and according to policies.
• Follow Medication Administration guidelines and physician orders; work under the Director of Nursing.
• Administer medications as directed, excluding injections, g-tube, j-tube, nasogastric tubes and IV meds.
• Maintain proper documentation and comply with state and federal regulations.
