Job summary

Englewood Health is seeking a Cytology Technologist to process, prepare, and microscopically screen exfoliated cells to identify abnormalities and support accurate diagnoses. You will ensure adherence to procedures and regulatory requirements while delivering timely cytological evaluations.

The role supports the Laboratory - Histology in Englewood, NJ as a per diem evening shift (3:00pm–11:00pm). Responsibilities include quality control, attendance at FNA procedures, and CAP-compliant practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological, Chemical or Clinical Laboratory Science.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Cytotechnology and ASCP-certified.
• Minimum one year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screens GYN, Non-GYN and FNA cytology specimens.
• Performs quality control checks as directed by pathologists.
• Attends FNA procedures to determine specimen adequacy.
• Maintains CAP standards and cytology procedure manuals.
• Prepares cytology and thin prep specimens on a STAT basis.
• Maintains confidentiality and supports regulatory inspections.
