Job summary

Trinity Health Oakland in Pontiac, MI is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist for full‑time evening shifts in the Chemistry Lab. The role requires a MLS/MT background, with ASCP/NCLS preferred, and non‑sponsorable work authorization in the U.S.

Responsibilities include entering results, performing QC, calibrations, and communicating findings with care teams to ensure accurate patient reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or MLS; transcripts required.
• Experience in medical laboratory may substitute if MLS/MT degree absent.
• Relevant certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Record and/or enter laboratory results and flag unusual findings for supervision.
• Report stat and highly abnormal results promptly per procedures.
• Compare current results with prior results and highlight fluctuations.
• Perform quality control, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Notify appropriate personnel of problems such as specimen issues or equipment malfunctions.
• Prepare standards and reagents used in testing.
• Communicate results and clarifications with nursing units or client offices.
