Job summary

Henry Ford Jackson is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join its laboratory team on the 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM shift. The position involves a broad range of analytic testing, with emphasis on accuracy and quality control in a busy outreach and inpatient setting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; ASCP or equivalent certification pathways encouraged.
Minimum six months of experience in a medical laboratory setting.
Demonstrated technical proficiency and theoretical knowledge essential for lab functions.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and complex analytic procedures on blood and other body fluids using manual or automated methods.
Evaluate instrument performance and QC results to ensure data accuracy prior to release.
Correlate results with other lab data and disease states to aid diagnosis and treatment.
Calibrate, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and information systems.
Maintain compliance with safety, privacy, and quality assurance policies.
