Qualifications

• Associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemical or biological science or equivalent CLIA-trained experience.
• Equivalent laboratory training meeting CLIA 42CFR493.1489/1491 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived and non-waived tests as defined by CLIA ’88 in accurate, timely manner.
• Assist with department compliance with accrediting agencies and regulatory requirements (e.g., CLIA, JCAHO, CAP, OSHA).
• Receipt, collection, and processing of biological specimens into the laboratory.
• Follow established policies, procedures and professional standards.
