Job summary

Navarro Regional Hospital is seeking a Medical Lab Technician to perform routine and specialized diagnostic tests on blood, body fluids, and other specimens. The role requires adherence to quality standards, regulatory guidelines, and collaboration with healthcare professionals to provide critical diagnostic information.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology required.
• Military Medical Laboratory Procedures course (50 weeks) completed and MLS specialty required.
• 0–2 years of acute care laboratory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate and high‑complexity laboratory tests with timely reporting.
• Maintains and troubleshoots laboratory equipment and ensures PPE compliance.
• Collects, processes and documents chain-of-custody urine drug screens as required.
• Ensures quality control data is analyzed and properly reported.
• Assists with phlebotomy and collaborates with team to complete tasks.
• Maintains accurate records and regulatory compliance.
