Job summary

UW Health in Madison, WI seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) for 100% FTE, Monday–Friday 11:30–8pm with rotating weekends/holidays. You will perform moderately complex tests, maintain equipment, troubleshoot instruments, and promote patient safety in a non-punitive environment.

Requirements include an associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology; 60 semester hours with 24 MLT or 24 science hours.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology is required.
• Education and training equivalent to an associate degree may include 60 semester hours with 24 ML tech or 24 science hours.
• Preferred: BA/BS in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or related sciences.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderately complex diagnostic tests and limited high complexity testing.
• Perform maintenance on select lab equipment or instruments.
• Troubleshoot laboratory equipment as a scientist and promote safety, reporting and documentation.
