Job summary

UW Health in Madison, Wisconsin, is seeking a Senior Medical Lab Technician or Medical Technologist for the Core Lab. The role involves performing testing across complexities, troubleshooting, and teaching as needed, with strong collaboration with physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum - Associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology or equivalent (60 semester hours with 24 hours lab courses or 24 hours science courses).
• Preferred - Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing in the clinical laboratories (any complexity).
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and problem resolution.
• Demonstrate strong decision-making skills, ability to work independently, and the ability to take on teaching/training responsibilities as needed.
• Work as an effective team member with physicians, clinic staff and co-workers.
