Job summary

AMFM Healthcare in Vienna, VA seeks a Medical Coordinator to provide essential clerical and administrative support to the nursing team. You will triage calls, greet clients, schedule appointments, and maintain a well-organized nursing station to support workflow.

Responsibilities include handling pharmacy orders, chart audits, coordinating medications with providers, managing intake procedures, and ensuring HIPAA compliance. Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in office equipment and software (MS Office, G Suite, EMR).
• Knowledge of clinical and medical terminology.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and collaborate with clients, families, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical and administrative support to nursing department and executives.
• Triaging client calls and alerting licensed personnel as needed.
• Greet clients professionally and ensure a positive experience.
• Notify clients of upcoming appointments and assist in scheduling.
• Maintain a well-organized nursing station and optimal workflow.
• Handle pharmacy orders, chart audits, and documentation submissions.
• Coordinate medication needs with healthcare providers and manage medical appointments.
• Manage office systems, intake procedures and database organization.
• Ensure HIPAA and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare letters, reports and presentations for the nursing department.
